College is a unit of A Shama Rao Foundation Education Trust, Mangalore was
started in the year 2012-2013 with under graduate course in dentistry with the
Annual intake of 100 students.It is affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi University of
Health Sciences, Bangalore,Karnataka and Ministry of Health and Family Welfare,
Government of India and also approved by Dental Council of India, New Delhi.
Srinivas Dental College and Hospital offers five years of
Bachelor of Dental Surgery(BDS) course affiliated by Rajiv Gandhi University of
Health Sciences, Bangalore and it is also approved by the Dental Council of
India.The total duration of BDS course is of 5 years. There is no internship
period.A Candidate who has passed the Second year Pre-University or XII
standard or equivalent examination with Chemistry ,Physics, and Biology as
optional subjects and English as one of the languages and has obtained not less
than 50% of the aggregate marks or equivalent grade in the optional subjects is
eligible for admission to the B.D.S course.
Eligibilty:
A Candidate who has passed the Second year Pre-University or
XII standard or equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry & Biology as
optional subjects and English as one of the languages and has obtained not less
than 50% of the aggregate marks or equivalent grade in the optional subjects is
eligible for admission in to the B.D.S course. In case of candidates belonging
to scheduled caste or scheduled tribes and category - I, the minimum marks for
the purpose of eligibility shall be 40% of the aggregate in the optional
subjects.
