About DENTAL Courses India :

Bachelor of Dental Surgery (B.D.S.)

BDS is a 5-years course which includes 1- year compulsory rotating internship program. Minimum 240 days of teaching in each academic year. During the above period, students shall be required to have engaged in full time study at a dental college, where he/she admitted. Dental college either recognized, or approved from the Dental Council of India / Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Govt. of India.

BDS Admission Eligibility :

Candidate must complete the age of 17 years on or before 31st December of the year of admission to BDS Course. Candidate must have passed qualifying examination 10+2 or its equivalent from any recognized Indian board of study. Candidate must have passed 10+2 examination with Science subjects with Physics, Chemistry, Biology with at least (50% marks for general category candidates and 40% marks for the candidates belonging SC/ST/OBC category) taken together and also passed in English as a compulsory subject.

Master of Dental Surgery ( M.D.S )

MDS is a 3-years post graduate dental course offered by limited Dental Colleges in India with limited seat. There has 9 Branches of Study in  MDS :-

MDS Admission Eligibility :

A candidate must passes final BDS examination from a recognized Dental College, included in the schedule of the Indian Dental Council Act, 1948 and who has obtained final registration either from the Dental Council of India or from any State Dental Council, after completing one year compulsory rotatory internship .
