Mission

 The mission of our institution is to produce competent, skilful, socially committed knowledgeable and caring Dental surgeon/specialists, capable to accept social and professional responsibilities in relation to oral health & dental care and treatment of anomalies and diseases of teeth, mouth, jaws and associated tissues. To help students develop a self confident and integrated personality, relevant in terms of sympathetic but effective & safe care of patients. To provide students with attitude and qualities to behave as true professional & responsible citizens and appreciate the needs of community and significance of one's continuing professional development and keeping one self up-to-date with recent advancements

To make them understand the concept of community oral health education and be able to participate in the rural health care delivery programs existing in the country.

Academic Programme

The college is offering "Bachelor of Dental Surgery (B.D.S.)" a Five year Degree programme and Master of Dental Surgery (MDS) a three year Post Graduate Degree Program.

(A) Admission Eligibility:

B.D.S. Course: Candidate to be admitted to Dental Curriculum of first year BDS course must fulfill, the laid down criteria:

Shall complete the age of 17 years on / before 31st December of the year of admission.

Pass 10+2 (or equivalent) examination securing minimum 50% marks, with subjects, Physics, Chemistry, Biology & English. (SC/ST/OBC, min. 40% marks).

Should qualify competitive entrance examination (CPMT/UPCAT-Dental)

Strictly on the basis of merit.

Admissions, on available Management/N.R.I. seats, are also done.

M.D.S. Course: A Candidate for admission to the M.D.S. course must posses:

BDS Degree awarded by Indian University in respect of recognised dental college or equivalent.

Permanent registration with State Dental Council.

On basis of merit, determined either by a competitive test or cumulative performance at all professional in BDS examination or both.

Minimum marks of eligibility in Entrance test shall be 50% for general and 40% for SC/ST/OBC.

(B) Duration:

B.D.S. Course: The UG training programme for B.D.S. degree shall be of five year with 240 teaching days in each academic year. Students shall be engaged in full time studies during the entire course.

M.D.S. Course: The M.D.S. course shall be of five years.
