All India Entrance Test (AIET-2015) for MBBS and BDS Admission in Dy Patil University Navi Mumbai

Applications are invited for the All India Entrance Test 2015 (referred as AIET 2015), conducted for selection of candidates for admission to Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS ) and Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) conducted in constituent colleges of D.Y. Patil University, situated in its campus at Nerul, Navi Mumbai, 400706

Duration of the Courses

MBBS - 4½ years and 1 year internship

BDS - 4 years and one year internship

Entrance Test: The AIET-2015 will be of three hours duration

There will be one question paper at the entrance test in English medium containing 200 multiple choice questions (MCQs), 50 each in Physics, Chemistry, Botany and Zoology
Each correct answer carries one mark

There is no negative marking

The AIET 2015 will be conducted on Monday, 11th May 2015 from 10.00 AM to 01.00 PM at the appointed centres

Eligibility Criteria for Appearing at DY Patil AIET-2015

Candidates satisfying the following criteria shall be eligible to appear for AIET-2015

Candidates must be Indian National

The Nationality Certificate issued by the District Magistrate / Additional District Magistrate / Chief Metropolitan Magistrate or a valid Passport shall constitute proof of Nationality

Age: The candidate should have born on or before 31st December 1998

Educational Qualification: Candidate should have passed HSC (10+2) or equivalent examination from a recognized board with English securing minimum 50% marks (40% for all categories of backward class students) in the aggregate of the subjects namely, Physics, Chemistry and Biology (Botany and Zoology) for admission to MBBS/BDS

The backward class candidates must attach copy of the caste certificate and caste verification certificates along with the application

Candidates who have appeared for HSC or equivalent examination and whose results will be declared before the dates of counseling will also be eligible to appear at AIET-2015

Application Form (On-line): Candidates are advised to retain with them a print out of the application form before submission to the form to AIET office for their personal record and future reference

Candidates can take a print out of form from our website by entering transaction ID and date of birth

Type in capital letters only and tick the appropriate boxes; select option for the test centre city carefully

The option once exercised cannot be changed later

Ensure that the candidate’s name and date of birth are the same as those mentioned in their High School or Board certificates

Fill the application form completely

Incomplete application forms will be rejected

Application & Entrance Fees

The fee for the entrance test is Rs.2500/-; the fee is payable by demand draft drawn in favour of Padmashree Dr DY Patil University, on a nationalized/scheduled bank, payable at Navi Mumbai

The candidates should write his/her full name, address and transaction ID on the reverse side of the demand draft

The demand draft must be dispatched to the Coordinator AIET 2015, Dr DY Patil University Padmashree Dr DY Patil Vidyanagar, Sector-7, Nerul, Navi Mumbai-400706

Applicant can pay registration fees on line via credit card, debit card, Internet banking, cash card, mobile payment options

It will be the responsibility of the candidate to ensure that his/her demand draft for fee reaches the office of the Coordinator of Admission Committee within the specified time and date

Demand draft received after the due date such candidates shall not be allowed to appear for the entrance test

Merit List

The results of the entrance test in the form of combined merit list for MBBS/BDS arranged according to the marks obtained by the candidates, will be declared by the admission committee at the university office

The results will also be displayed on the following website of the university www.dypatil.ac.in

The result of entrance test will not be dispatched to candidates by post or by courier

The result will be displayed on http://www.dypatil.ac.in

Candidate will be required to enter transaction number and hall ticket number to preview the result

This result print out should be brought for the counseling

Selection Process

Candidates who secure the minimum 50% marks at AIET-2015 and satisfy the eligibility norms laid down by respective councils shall be eligible for admission to MBBS/BDS in courses would be offered provisional admission to these on the basis of their inter se merit at the time of counseling

The candidates are required to produce the original copies of the following documents at the time of counseling along with one set of their photocopies (original documents will be returned immediately after verification at the counseling counter)

In case the candidate has submitted original documents to some other institute, he should bring a letter from Head of that Institute certifying submission of documents in that institute

SSC/equivalent examination mark statement and certificate; HSC/equivalent examination mark statement and certificate; AIET-2015 marks print out from website; Bonafide and character certificate from the Head of Institution last attended; Leaving/transfer certificate from the Institute last attended; Nationality certificate; BC caste and caste verification certificate; Affidavit in the format signed by you and countersigned by your parent/guardian in the presence of Notary Public on a stamp paper; Passport (in case of Foreign Nationals/wards of persons of Indian origin/wards of non resident Indians) and affidavit that fees will be paid from a particular account till the course is completed (this affidavit could be given by spouse/ brother/ sister/son /daughter in the presence of Notary Public on a stamp paper); Physical Fitness certificate from a registered medical practitioner
