Sri Hasanamba Education Trust (R) manages Sri Hasanamba Dental Collage & Hospital. It is one
of the prestigious institute of Malnad Districts of Karnataka established during 1991
to cater to the needs of Higher Education, especially in the Medical,
Dental and related technical fields in the region of Malnad Districts
like Hassan and Chickmagalur.

Hassan District was under region of Mouryas of North in the 3rd BC and
later kingdoms of Kadambas, Chalukyas, Gangas, Hoysalas and
Vijayanagarempire. The Hoysalas brought world wide acclaim to the
district through their unique style of architecture.
Hassan is called as ‘Ooty’ because of its climate. The place is called Hassan after the Goddess “Hasanamba&#
8221;, the smiling Goddess, and presiding deity of the town. The temple
of Hasanamba will be opened only once in a year about a week, during
the second Ashwayuja (October). A big Jatra (shandi or fair) will be
held on this occasion. Hassan has got so many tourist places.Master
Control Facility center is also is in Hassan.
