SJM Dental College Admission 2015

Sri Jagadguru Murugharajendra (SJM) Dental College is run by charitable institution Sri Jagadguru Murugharajendra Brihanmatha. The college was established in the year 1986. It is recognised by Dental Council of India (DCI), New Delhi and is affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences (RGUHS), Bangalore. The college offers Undergraduate BDS degree programme.

Eligibility :

• In order to be eligible to the BDS course a candidate should have passed the two year Pre – University examination or 10+2 years of schooling with Physics, Chemistry and Biology as optional subjects and English as language subject and he/she must have secured minimum 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology put together. In respect of candidate belonging to SC/ST or category – 1 this percentage shall be 40% instead of 50%.
• In Case of admission on the basis of competitive entrance examination in addition to above, the candidate must have come in the merit list by securing not less than 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology taken together in the competitive examination. In case of SC/ST or category – 1 It is 40% aggregate instead of 50% as stated above.
• The candidate shall have completed the age of 17 years at the time of admission.

Admission Procedure:

The application forms for the desired course will be issued in the college itself and the candidate can obtained it by paying DD of the specified amount and submitting all the documents required by the college.

Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS)

B.D.S in Bachelor Of Dental Surgery is a Full Time course that provides applicants with both a rigorous foundation in theory and the practical, hands-on experience they need to succeed in the field. The length of B.D.S in Bachelor Of Dental Surgery course is 5 Years and it`s an Campus course for recent graduates, or practitioners that are looking to enhance their skills in specialist areas.
