PG Seat Distribution

The seats available for admission to Dental Postgraduate Courses will be distributed as 50% to all India Quota & remaining 50% to the State Quota

From the State Quota 15% Seats from Govt. Dental Colleges will be distributed to the dental In-Service Candidates of Govt.  Dental College & Hospital and Govt Medical College & Hospital as per Govt. Resolution

The seat position will be given in the preference form filling information brochure and will be displayed on the website of DMER www.dmer.org

There will be no Regional reservation; however there will be reservation in these seats as per State Govt orders issued from time to time (Annexure “C & D”)

Eligibility Criteria

Eligibility Criteria for PGD-CET 2015 for Dental Post Graduate Courses: Candidate must be an Indian National Nationality. Certificate issued by District Magistrate or Additional District Magistrate or Chief Metropolitan Magistrate / valid passport or School Leaving (SSC)/Jr. College Leaving (Persons of Indian Origin (PIO) / Non Resident Indians (NRI) / Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) are not eligible)

Certificate of HSC/12th Std. indicating the nationality of the candidate as “Indian” shall constitute the proof of nationality (Persons of Indian Origin (PIO) / Non Resident Indians (NRI) / Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) are not eligible)

All candidates, who have passed final BDS Examination and Completed /Completing One year internship training by 31st Mar 2015 from a recognised dental college (Annexure-E) included in the schedule of the Dental Council of India and situated in Maharashtra, affiliated to the Non-agricultural University established under Maharashtra Universities Act, 1994 or the Maharashtra University of Health Sciences Act 1998 or Dental Colleges affiliated to Deemed University as per University Grant Commission Act 1956 under section 13/A, situated in Maharashtra, and who have obtained registration either from the Dental Council of India or Maharashtra State Dental Council (MSDC) after completing one year compulsory rotating internship will be eligible to appear for PGD-CET

Candidate obtained BDS Degree before introduction of one year compulsory rotating internship training, i.e. on or before 1989 will also be eligible to appear for PGD-CET 2015

In-Service Candidates

To be eligible for in-service seats candidates should have passed BDS Exam in maximum three attempts from DCI recognized Dental College, Situated in Maharashtra State

Candidates working on the post of Dental Surgeon for Minimum 3 years in Govt Dental College and Hospital or Govt Medical College and Hospital are eligible for In-Service Reservation. Candidates working on temporary Dental Surgeon Post are not eligible for In-Service reservation

Age of the candidates should not be more than 45 years at the time of submission of application for PGD-CET. Candidates must appear the PGD CET Examination and should qualify the examination as mentioned in rule no 11.3
Separate Merit list will be prepared for in-service Candidates. For every one year service as dental surgeon 10% of obtained marks up to maximum 30% marks shall be added in the PGD CET obtained marks. Candidate qualifying PGD CET are only eligible for this additional weightage mark

There will be constitutional reservation in in-service quota. Roster for 5 years for this reservation will be maintained. The In-Service reservation will be 15% of the seats available with Competent Authority excluding all India Quota. There will be no reservation in the all India Quota Seats Surrendered to the State

In-Service candidates after obtaining MDS qualification must serve; the Govt. for 10 years otherwise he/she has to pay Rs 50,00,000/- (Fifty lakhs only) as a penalty

A candidate should have obtained MSDC/DCI registration by the date of document verification process (Except for a candidate who will be completing Internship by 31st Mar 2015 such a candidate must submit the aforesaid certificate by the beginning of academic term (i.e. second May 2015) to the college authority)

A candidate who has completed one year compulsory rotating internship or is likely to complete the same on or before 31st Mar 2015 can appear for PGD-CET

Eligibility:

The candidate must be an Indian national

Foreign/NRI/OCI/PIO candidates seeking admission to the PG programmes will have to obtain registration from the Dental Council of India. Any candidate who has obtained BDS degree from any recognized dental college in India under foreign/NRI/OCI/PIO category will not be considered under regular category for Post Graduate Course even if he Possess recognized BDS degree from an Indian University.

The candidate must have passed BDS examination from a dental college recognized by Dental Council of India.

The candidate must have completed one year compulsory rotating internship on or before 31st March, 2015. He/she will have to produce a certificate of completion of internship before joining the course.

The candidate should posses a permanent registration with any state dental council or dental council of India. If the registration certificate is not submitted within one month after admission to the postgraduate course, admission to course will be cancelled.

If a candidate does not fulfill any or all the above requirement or fails to pay the fees at time of counseling, he/she will not be considered eligible for admission irrespective of his appearing for DENPET-2015 examination and securing a rank in the merit list.

Foreign/NRI/PIO/OCI candidates seeking admission for the post graduate programme in the institution must procure temporary registration by Dental Council of India for the duration of the Post graduate training to the dental college which he/she is admitted.

Candidates who have passed post graduate diploma course recognized by the DCI, of the duration of 2 years in particular specialty will be eligible for admission MDS in the same specialty and the duration of his/her MD courses will be 2 years.

Admission Procedure:

The admission to MDA course to the Bharti Vidyapeeth University Dental College will be made on the basis of merit obtained by the candidate in dental post graduate entrance test i.e DENPET-2015.

How to Apply:

A candidate desirous of applying for DENPET 2015 is required to complete the prescribed appended at the end of this Brochure.
